I've had asthma since I can remember, it's something I've lived with my entire life and I know nothing different. I was born several months premature back in the day when they weren't saving preemies, so I feel very blessed to even be alive. I spent most of my first 2 years of life in and out of hospitals with breathing problems, I had BPD as an infant and resulting permanent lung damage from having been born premature. I've been told my asthma isn't the "typical" asthma because of my history; but none the less, it's still asthma and I still battle like everybody else does to stay in the green zone and be healthy.
I've been told I have moderate to severe asthma, but over the last several years it has progressively gotten worse and it's been leaning more to severe asthma.
